Management and organisational structure

Management Committee

The Management Committee is the firms’ steering body.

  • It is responsible for setting and implementing the strategy of the KPMG network of firms in the Czech Republic.
  • The committee meets regularly at least once a month.
  • It addresses crucial issues regarding the firms' activities, i.e. their operating and financial performance, annual plans, new business activities, issues concerning the development of technologies, HR, marketing, remuneration, risk management policies as well as the management of projects aimed at the improvement of the firm’s operations.
  • The Managing Partner appoints the individual members of the Management Committee in charge of specific areas within the organisational structure of the KPMG network of firms in the Czech Republic.

The Management Committee has eight members:

    Jan Žůrek

    Jan Žůrek is the Managing Partner of KPMG Czech Republic and responsible for its general management, finances, HR, quality and risk management and services rendered to the public sector.

  • Romana Benešová

    Romana Benešová

    Romana Benešová is the Partner of KPMG Czech Republic in charge of Markets and Proposals and responsible for sales management and client care, Risk Consulting and services rendered to the health sector and health insurance companies.

  • Petr Bučík

    Petr Bučík

    Petr Bučík is the Partner at KPMG Czech Republic in charge of Management Consulting, both on the Czech market and in selected CEE countries. He is also responsible for the Marketing and Communications department.

  • Radek Halíček

    Radek Halíček

    Radek Halíček is the Partner at KPMG Czech Republic in charge of Tax and Legal Services.

  • Otakar Hora

    Otakar Hora

    Otakar Hora is a Deputy Managing Partner and a Partner in the Audit Department. He is in charge of services for the energy sector. He is also the Deputy Managing Partner in charge of the infrastructure of KPMG Czech Republic.

  • Petr Škoda

    Petr Škoda

    Petr Škoda is the Partner at KPMG Czech Republic in charge of Audit Services.

  • Jindřich Vašina

    Jindřich Vašina

    Jindřich Vašina is a Partner in the Audit Department at KPMG Czech Republic. He is in charge of audit and advisory services rendered to financial institutions and is the Deputy Partner in charge of Audit Services.

  • Alex Verbeek

    Alex Verbeek

    Alex Verbeek is the Partner at KPMG Czech Republic in charge of Deal Advisory and corporate finance at KPMG in Central and Eastern Europe. He is a member of the executive board of KPMG in Central and Eastern Europe.

Together, the partners are responsible for the firm’s corporate strategy and for the oversight over its implementation.

  • They regularly review issues of great importance to the firm. These include operational and financial performance, annual business plans and budgets, new business proposals, marketing, development of new technologies and work methodologies, remuneration and risk management.
  • Partners in the firm’s individual departments are regularly informed of all decisions of the Management Committee and may comment on them at monthly or bimonthly general partner meetings. Individual decisions are then implemented.
  • The strategies and the mid as well as long-term objectives of KPMG Czech Republic are discussed and approved at partners’ retreats held twice a year.
